The celebrity priest Fr. Chad Ripperger had his ministry restricted as early as 2025. An investigation published by his critics at WherePeterIs.com on October 20 documents earlier restrictions Fr Ripperger by the Archdiocese of Denver. Fr Ripperger is known for attributing various psychological conditions, temptations, and behaviors to demonic influence. He has associated named demons with abortion, homosexuality, sloth, and other matters, and has described obtaining information about demons by questioning them during alleged exorcisms. In a 2018 lecture, Ripperger claimed that cases of bipolar disorder were actually cases of demonic obsession. Then-Archbishop Samuel Aquila of Denver initiated an investigation in March 2025.
