Our Lady statue destroyed in latest attack on New York Catholic church
The Russian Orthodox Church has revoked its June decision assigning its former foreign affairs chief to two Russian Orthodox parishes in southern Brazil. Instead, Patriarch Kirill has assigned Hilarion, 60, to the Exaltation of the Cross Monastery near Moscow. The latest reassignment comes after a series of controversies involving the once-powerful church diplomat. In May, Czech police detained Hilarion in Karlovy Vary after searching his car and finding four containers containing a white powder. Czech authorities later identified the substance as cocaine. Hilarion was released without charges after two days, while the investigation remains ongoing. He denies any involvement and says he was the victim of a provocation. Hilarion had already been removed as Metropolitan of Budapest and Hungary in 2024 after a former male assistant accused him of homosexual misconduct and financial impropriety. The allegations were accompanied by claims that Hilarion lived a lavish lifestyle and accumulated …المزيد

What a total fuqn’ disaster… I wouldn’t think they have any interest at all in Latin anyway. The end of this train wreck is nearing. Thank God for the Lefebvrists!!
Oh, but but,... all the novus ordo clergy don't need Latin at all. What do they need Latin for? Plus, even the demons hate the sacred Latin of the Church—especially its prayers, Gregorian chant, and above all the solemn rite of exorcism.
Let's explore WHY cultures like the British and Germans have fallen off a cliff (after straying from Holy Mother Church). If your society isn't Catholic, then it is patently inferior.
The Winnipeg Statement was an influential and controversial pastoral letter issued by the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB) on September 27, 1968. Released during a plenary assembly in St. Boniface, Winnipeg, Manitoba, the document served as the Canadian hierarchy's official response to Pope Paul VI’s papal encyclical, Humanae vitae, which reaffirmed the Catholic Church's absolute prohibition on artificial birth control. [1] The statement became a historical milestone due to its unique stance on individual conscience, which many interpreted as a departure or dissent from official Vatican teaching.
Cardinal Raymond Leo Burke has called on Catholics to defend the sacrament of marriage and the Christian family even at the cost of suffering. Preaching on July 25 at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Wisconsin, the cardinal encouraged married couples to embrace their vocation as a path to holiness. "The grace of Holy Matrimony is not an ideal to which only a few can aspire," he said, "but an objective reality, a supernatural gift, which leads husband and wife to seek each other's eternal salvation along the path of divine love." The cardinal concluded: "Let us be ready for martyrdom, if not the red martyrdom of blood, certainly the white martyrdom of faithful witness to Our Lord in the face of indifference, ridicule, and persecution." Cardinal Burke's appeal comes just two months before the Vatican's October meeting convened by Pope Leo XIV to celebrate the tenth anniversary of Amoris laetitia. In this exhortation, Pope Francis repeatedly uses the language of the "ideal" of marriage …المزيد
Novus Ordo Goes to the Dogs: On 26 June, a video of a Eucharistic celebration at the Santo Domingo Savio parish in Villavicencio, Colombia, went viral after two dogs started howling along with Rev. Carlos Mario Peña Lopera as he sang a hymn. The dogs, Simón and Luna, are strays that the priest took in and who now regularly accompany him at Eucharists, often sitting near the altar. According to Rev. Peña Lopera, Luna had not previously joined in the howling alongside Simón. The priest continued the hymn without interruption.
Dos perros que acompañaban al sacerdote durante la eucaristía protagonizaron un inesperado momento al unirse, a su manera, a los cantos de la misa.
I love dogs and have have/had several as pets - but they DO NOT belong at Holy Mass (guide dogs - who care for those with various ailments & are trained to behave - excepted).
The Archdiocese of Pamplona and Tudela, Spain, has distanced itself on August 5 from comments by one of its priests after he called for the "reconquest of Morocco and its conversion to Christianity" following the invasion into the Spanish enclave of Ceuta. In a statement, the archdiocese said Rev. Javier Aizpún's remarks were "strictly personal opinions" that "neither represent nor are shared in any way by this diocesan Church." The controversy stemmed from a post on X.com in which Aizpún, parish priest of San Juan Evangelista in Huarte and a canon of Pamplona Cathedral, wrote: "May Our Lady of Africa, patron saint of Ceuta, inspire the reconquest of Morocco and its conversion to Christianity. May we finish what Queen Isabella the Catholic left undone." In subsequent posts, he also called for Spain to "bombard Rabat" and "open fire if necessary" in response to the mass crossing of invaders into Ceuta. Archbishop Florencio Roselló sought an explanation from Rev. Aizpún, describing the …المزيد
This priest should really have known how offensive his remarks were. Apparently he was under the impression that he was a priest in the Catholic Church where Jesus Christ ordered His followers to “go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father the Son and the Holy Ghost. No. He’s a Conciliarist! What is absolutely amazing, though, is that Conciliarists who call themselves Catholic, are so indoctrinated they believe the SSPX is schismatic.
Seven years after his death, the Capuchin bishop Juan Rodolfo Laise still lacks a proper grave inscription in the Capuchin cemetery of San Giovanni Rotondo, Italy. Bishop Laise became internationally known for defending the practice of receiving Holy Communion on the tongue. During debates within the Argentine Episcopal Conference in 1996 over the introduction of Communion in the hand, he chose not to implement the indult in his diocese, maintaining that receiving Communion on the tongue remained the universal norm of the Church. After retiring, he settled in San Giovanni Rotondo, where he spent his final years serving as a confessor. Although a marble slab was placed over his grave at the time of his burial in 2019, it still bears only the temporary paper funeral notice affixed on the day of his funeral. No permanent inscription has ever been added. The case has attracted renewed attention following an investigation by Italian journalist Simone Ortolani, as reported by Messa in Latino. …المزيد
Using a Gun to Defend Yourself? The Right to Kill Is Growing. States are pushing to pass laws sanctioning more reasons to use lethal violence in self-defense, a distinctly American tradition. nytimes.com/…-defend-yourself-the-right-to-kill-i… By Mike McIntire Mike McIntire is an investigative reporter for The Times. This article has been adapted from his book, “Ricochet: Guns, Greed, and the American Way of Violence.” Aug. 3, 2026 Tennessee recently enacted a law making it easier legally to shoot someone who’s stealing the lawnmower, bicycle or power tools you left in your garden shed. This is a new take on the “stand your ground” doctrine, which lets you defend yourself but not your stuff. Under the expanded provision, you can kill to protect your belongings as long as you believe the interloper is a threat to you or others. “Stand your ground” laws, or the idea behind them, have existed since the Centennial. The principle is intuitive: A person can’t use force to coerce you. The …

Saint of the Day, August 6, 1965 by Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira August 6 is the feast of the Transfiguration of Our Lord Jesus Christ. On this day, the first church on Mount Tabor was dedicated. Tradition has it that Mount Tabor was the “high mountain” described in the Gospel as the site of the Transfiguration. In 1457, Pope Callistus III ordered this feast to be solemnly celebrated throughout Christendom in thanksgiving for the defeat of the Turks in Belgrade, especially due to the heroic efforts of Saint John of Capistrano. The novena to Our Lady of the Assumption also begins on this day. We all know the Gospel episode in which the Lord goes up with Peter, James and John to the top of Mount Tabor. At a certain moment, He manifests Himself in all His glory with Moses on one side and Elijah, our spiritual father, on the other. The disciples are so enthralled with His glory that they express a desire to remain there. However, this external manifestation of glory gradually diminishes as the …المزيد
Muslims Lose Their Minds When 26 Different ARABIC Qurans Return to Speakers' Corner! Hatun Tash DCCI Ministries Hatun Tash DCCI Ministries youtube.com/watch?v=9y7eWEjBBw4 4 lug 2017 #JaySmith#SpeakersCorner#HatunTash About a year ago, Jay Smith and Hatun Tash got up on their ladders at Speakers' Corner to show 26 different Arabic Qur'ans to the world. They didn't have the time then to go through the 26 Qur'ans, and so they decided to bring the Qurans back to Speakers' Corner for a similar talk, but this time to go through and show some of the differences. To date, Arabic scholars who are doing the research (not Jay nor Hatun, who are clear that they are not Arabic scholars) have found 45,377 differences within the 26 Qur'ans they are looking at. That number will continue to rise as they find hundreds, and perhaps thousands more. Jay and Hatun couldn't go through all the 45,377 differences they were aware of, so they only brought down about 70 examples, taken from an assortment of the …المزيد
