Human Rights Watch (HRW) issued a report on April 15 stating that the 2018 agreement between China and the Vatican has helped the Chinese government to increase pressure on underground Catholics. It has called on Pope Leo XIV to review or repeal the agreement and to press China to end the persecution. One priest cited by HRW was denied access to banking, phone services, and passports. Furthermore, there is a de facto ban on religious practice for persons under 18.

Human Rights Watch: Vatican-China deal has aided religious persecution

(PerMariam) — The watchdog agency Human Rights Watch (HRW) has warned that the controversial 2018 deal between China and the Vatican has “helped the Chinese government to pressure underground Catholic communities to join the official church.”
According to a detailed new report issued by HRW, the Chinese state is only increasing its persecution of underground Catholics, and is doing so aided by the framework of the 2018 deal between Beijing and the Holy See regarding the appointment of bishops.
“The 2018 Holy See-China agreement on bishops has helped the Chinese government to pressure underground Catholic communities to join the official church,” HRW wrote on April 15.

Henri de Lubac Predicted the Rise of Constructive Atheism w/ Fr. Cajetan Cuddy
Traditional Thomists are normally unfriendly to Henri de Lubac, but today’s guest, Fr. Cajetan Cuddy points out that Thomists are very indebted to De Lubac and should join him on the battlefield. Fr. Cajetan Cuddy is a Dominican priest, scholar, and Youtuber who recently presented at the De Lubac conference hosted by the John Paul II Institute on Marriage and the Family. He joins us today to talk about De Lubac and his critical insight into the rise of constructive atheism. Fr. Cuddy and Ben Eriksen talk about De Lubac’s response to this new threat to the human person. They also discuss the tendency of academics and intellectuals to focus too exclusively on the academic end of writing and researching while ignoring the search for truth and God who is much more than an intellectual principle. Their conversation not only provides insights into our modern culture but also demonstrates the crucial overlap between …વધારે

Two Israeli soldiers were sentenced to 30 days in military jail for smashing a statue of the crucified Christ in Lebanon. The Israeli army said one soldier used a sledgehammer while the other filmed; both were removed from combat duty. Six other soldiers were present and did not intervene or report the incident. According to 'The Guardian', such punishment is rare. In 2025, about 88% of alleged misconduct cases involving Israeli forces were closed or unresolved.

Francis' Main Legacy Are Unsuitable, Bad Bishops

On 22 April, ElWanderer.com wrote that one of the most painful legacies of Francis’s pontificate was the bishops he left the Church.
In Argentina, Francis appointed 67 bishops, choosing them from among priests who lacked the most basic and essential qualities.
On at least three occasions, Francis appointed bishops in Argentina who accepted the nomination but then renounced their consecration weeks later. The rumoured reason was 'skeletons in the closet'.
The same happened with the failed Indonesian bishop, Pascalis Syukur: he was chosen as a cardinal by Bergoglio in 2024, gladly accepted the designation, but resigned a few days later. It later emerged that he had been in a romantic relationship with a woman with whom he had two children.
It seems likely that Francis appointed bishops from among priests he found personally agreeable or with whom he had some affinity.
ElWanderer gives another example. All of the Jesuits who formed the Bergoglian group in the 1980s are now bishops.

I Tried the Water Doctors Prescribe for Health

In southern Russia, there’s a small town where natural mineral water isn’t just a wellness trend — it’s part of a real medical system. Doctors recommend it. Treatments are prescribed. And for many people, it’s completely free. I traveled to Yessentuki, a quiet town in the Caucasus Mountains, to see this for myself. What I found wasn’t what I expected. Instead of chaos or decay, I discovered a place built around healing — both physical and something deeper. In this video, we explore: Natural mineral springs used for health treatments How Russia’s sanatorium system still works today Historic mud bath clinics dating back to the Russian Empire And an unexpected spiritual dimension overlooking it all This isn’t just about water. Since legalising euthanasia in 2016, Canada has recorded about 95,000 deaths under the Medical Assistance in Dying programme (MAiD). Starting in 2027, the programme is set to expand further to include people suffering from mental illness. Cardinal Frank Leo of Toronto has appealed to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Members of Parliament to block the expansion. He warned of the pressure vulnerable individuals could face, adding: "A society is rightly judged by how it cares for its most vulnerable members."

Toronto Cardinal Leo tells Canada's PM Mark Carney to choose life

Cardinal Frank Leo, the metropolitan archbishop of Toronto yesterday sent a letter "to Prime Minister Carney and all federal Members of Parliament (MPs) in the Archdiocese of Toronto asking for their support of Bill C-218 and decrying the rapid expansion of euthanasia and assisted suicide in Canada. Bill C-218 is a private members’ bill currently before Parliament that would amend the Criminal Code to prevent Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD) from being provided when mental illness is the sole underlying condition. Without this change, MAiD will be available for those suffering from mental illness alone beginning in March 2027."
The terrible law itself needs to be stopped. Since euthanasia was legalized in Canada in 2016, over 20,000 Canadians have been killed. Abortion kills 100,000 unborn babies each year, all paid for by Canada Health. Did you know that the yearly number of deaths in Canada will soon surpass the number of births? There is no future of any kind in that coming …

Henri de Lubac - Film Trailer
Learn More and Donate Here: de Lubac | Henri de Lubac Documentary | Support … A Jesuit who survived two world wars and censorship, Henri de Lubac answered catastrophe with fierce clarity—and changed the Church in the process. Through letters smuggled under occupation, debates that shook Rome, and the shockwaves of Vatican II, his defense of the human person—made in the image and likeness of God—stood against atheism, crushing ideologies, and the hollow promises of a postmodern age. The film moves from trenches of war to council halls to today’s fractured public square, tracing how one restless mind became a compass for those searching for meaning and dignity. Ignatius Press is happy to have partnered with Glass Darkly Films and Sonic Palette productions to produce this film about one of the best theologians in the 20th century.

When peace among nations becomes the ultimate end of religion, religions are reduced to geopolitical instruments.
With his apostolic journey to Algeria, Pope Leo XIV intended to send a very precise message to the world, which we can summarize as follows: peace does not arise only from balances of power but when religions cease to be instruments of conflict and place themselves at the service of human dignity.
The journey thus fits into the wake of the one carried out in November 2025 in Turkey and Lebanon, where the pontiff reiterated that peace becomes possible only when Christians and Muslims choose to recognize one another as “custodians of each other,” transforming borderlands …

Cardinals Reject Hope in Leo XIV on Roman Rite

Several anonymous cardinals and curial officials told the Substack.com account The Pillar on April 17 that they do not expect any resolution to the question of the Mass in the Roman rite in the near future.
Some Catholics had hoped the next extraordinary consistory of cardinals on June 26–27 would address the liturgical issue. Instead, Leo XIV chose to focus on Francis' document Evangelii Gaudium.
One Vatican official said that Leo XIV was not very familiar with traditional communities or even the traditional liturgy, and that his primary concern was not liturgy but whether members of those communities accept the Second Vatican Council.
As early as June 2025, the best friend of Leo XIV, Alejandro Moral, Prior General of the Augustinians, had already ruled out any return of the older form of the Mass under his pontificate.

Paul VI killed the Old Mass; JP II gave it a tiny life; Benedict opened it up greatly, saying it had never really been officially done away with; Francis tried to kill it; Leo seems happy with Francis's decision. Zigzag, zigzag, what is the layman to think? "Officer, the light was green when I went through it." "Well, it's red now and you are in trouble." Why should the laity respect the governance of the Church?

LifeSiteNews) — Israel’s official government X account announced “Pride Land,” a four-day LGBT festival set for June 1–4, 2026, at the Dead Sea—the lowest point on Earth.
Billed as the largest such event ever in the Middle East, the gathering promises “nonstop celebration, community and connection” across a temporary “Pride City” in the Judean Desert, complete with 15 hotels, beach venues, all-day parties, and major performers.
The perhaps ironic tagline of the post from the Israeli governments official X account—“Pride rises at the lowest place on earth”—resonated with some respondents who made reference to the depravity of the event while observing its physical proximity to the general region where cities had been destroyed by God for these exact sins.

Cardinal Marx Orders "Blessings" of Homosexuals

Cardinal Reinhard Marx of Munich, Germany, has instructed priests and pastoral staff to perform "blessings" for homosexual couples and adulterers.
A spokesperson confirmed to Die-Tagespost.de on 21 April that all pastoral practice should adhere to the German bishops' guideline, Segen gibt der Liebe Kraft ('Blessing Gives Love Strength'). This guideline is set to become a fundamental element of pastoral work across the Archdiocese of Munich.
Training sessions for pastoral staff on how to conduct these "blessing ceremonies" are scheduled to begin in June.
No couple seeking a blessing should be turned away.
Priests who reject such "blessings" are expected to refer couples to either their dean or other pastoral workers willing to perform them.
Furthermore, Cardinal Marx has urged that the "theological meaning" of the guideline be explained, particularly to those who may "still" struggle with the concept of such "blessings".

Francis Knew "Many" Homosexual Priests

On today's first anniversary of Francis's death, the homosexual activist James Martin SJ shared a memory from 2024. At the time, Francis had made some negative remarks about homosexual priests using the Italian slur "frociaggine" (faggotry) in a meeting with Italian bishops.
A few weeks later, Francis received Fr Martin and discussed the expression. Francis said then that he knew "many holy, faithful, celibate gay priests and seminarians".
When Fr Martin suggested proclaiming this publicly, Francis replied, "Oh, but I think I have. And in any event, you can say that!"
According to Fr Martin, Francis asked back: "So you're saying that I can say you know many holy, faithful, celibate gay priests and seminarians?" Francis shrugged and said, "Of course. Because I do!"
[In reality, the Church has suffered from many unholy, unfaithful, sexually active gay priests.]
A few days later, during an audience with comedians, Fr Martin greeted Francis again. The Pope said, "Thank you for our meeting …વધારે

That is why, when the apostate of unhappy memory, Jorge Mario Bergoglio maliciously asserted that he was nobody to judge a "gay priest"; he defied God and the Church. By stating that he did not judge an unrepentant sinner—meaning that a Pope, and thus the Church, lacks the power to judgehe thereby passed judgment upon God and the Church.

la verdad prevalece

Bergoglio and Prevost have conspired with many homosexual and apostate priests.
By the Way, it should be clarified that the Church teaches that no Catholic faithful may harbor an attachment to sin. Consequently, the vice of sodomy—as taught by Saint Catherine of Siena and Saint Bernardino of Siena—is not only a grave mortal sin but becomes a sin of blasphemy against the Spirit—one that has no forgiveness either in this life or in the next—when the person who has fallen into this vice, instead of repenting, creates a new homosexual pseudo-identity contrary to the biological sexual nature bestowed by God.
Saint Alphonsus Maria de Liguori also taught that the sin of priests is a sin of malice, equivalent to the sin of the apostate angels who rebelled against God—a sin that constitutes blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. For this reason, Scripture teaches that the apostate is like a dog that eats its own vomit or a pig that wallows in the mud, and that it is very difficult—indeed, almost …વધારે

Prevost Has Declared War on Christianity
Something extraordinary has happened, and most Christians missed it because it was wrapped in the language of love.
Over the span of eleven days, from Easter Sunday through an eleven-day tour of Africa, Pope Leo XIV issued a series of public statements that, taken together, constitute the most comprehensive assault on Biblical Christianity ever launched from inside the institutional church. He did not do it with a sword. He did it with a smile, a diplomatic handshake, and language so carefully crafted that millions of Catholics watched it happen and applauded.
This is a documentation of that assault. Every claim is sourced from the Pope’s own words, published on the Vatican’s own website, and measured against the Bible the Vatican claims to uphold.
