The first papal encyclical on artificial intelligence, Magnifica Humanitas (May 15, 38,000 words), contains lots of truisms but also a bit of everything and nothing. The central contradiction of Magnifica Humanitas is that it condemns centralized technological power and “Babel-like” global systems, while simultaneously demanding supranational governing structures to regulate AI worldwide. In the encyclical, "Babel" becomes a symbol of a civilization built on centralized power, uniformity, and human self-sufficiency. §5 warns that private, often transnational actors possess “resources and capabilities superior to those of many governments,” giving them “impressive power over all of humanity.” However, the proposed solution is stronger international coordination and global governance of AI. The encyclical calls for an “international order” (§33), “universal fraternity” (§44), and globally shared moral principles for governing AI. §64 calls for “more effective forms of cooperation …Daplü
“Thanks to Francis, the discourse on migration is now established,” the pro-homosexual Madrid Cardinal José Cobo told ReligionDigital.org (May 23). He asks the rhetorical question why Leo XIV is going to the Canary Islands. His answer: “For the same reason Francis went to Lesbos or Lampedusa.” One of Cardinal Cobo’s most troubling ideas is his desire to “redefine” human dignity according to “the criteria of our time.” #newsFmjosltxra
Brother Ignatius laid to rest on Papa Stronsay: On 13 May, Brother Ignatius Maria, a 24-year-old monk of the Transalpine Redemptorists from New Zealand, was laid to rest on Papa Stronsay in Scotland. His body was returned to the monastery one month after he disappeared on 12 April in an incident involving the sea. Accompanied by his parents and fellow brothers, he made his final journey from Stronsay pier to his burial place on Papa Stronsay. The Transalpine Redemptorists said that Brother Ignatius Maria would be "deeply missed by us all".
Following the tragic passing of Br Ignatius Maria, on 13 May 2026 his body was committed to the grave on the the Monastery-Island of Papa Stronsay, which had been his home. He is deeply missed by us all. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.
Worse than Germany: On 16 May, the social media account 'SG News' published a video showing a priest celebrating the Eucharist in shallow waters in Sri Lanka. The priest is wearing violet liturgical vestments. He and altar servers stand and walk in the water while the faithful gather in fishing boats.
On 22 May, the synod of the schismatic Coptic Orthodox group in Egypt decided to resume theological dialogue with the Church. This followed a telephone conversation on 15 May between Leo XIV and the Coptic leader, Tawadros II. During this call, Leo XIV told Tawadros II that homosexual couples would not be blessed in the Church. However, this claim was just words because there is lots of photographic evidence of homosexual "blessings" being performed in the Catholic Church. Tawadros II is aware of this. The Copts broke off ecumenical dialogue after Francis approved the homosexual pamphlet 'Fiducia Supplicans', which is still in place and being implemented by the Church. If words do not match reality, this is commonly called a lie. #newsPxzibulzbg
Cardinal Víctor “Tucho” Fernández, a soft-porn author and the prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, criticized the Congregation’s Notification on the Works of Fr. Jon Sobrino, S.J. from 2006. At the time, the congregation was led by Cardinal William Levada. The notification was issued with the approval of Pope Benedict XVI. It declared that some of the Spanish Jesuit’s works contain “notable discrepancies with the faith of the Church.” On May 12, speaking at Pontifical Urban University, Tucho claimed that the notification “does not encourage the effort to take seriously the context in which theological reflection takes place.” He attacked the notification for declaring that theology rooted in “the context of the poor” was “inadequate and dangerous”. Tucho also criticized the idea that theology can begin only from ecclesial tradition without serious engagement with lived historical realities. Another revelation from Tucho: “Some time ago, in the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith, the instruction given to nuncios in those countries was that they should carefully monitor possible deviations and dangers of inculturation. Now, instead, they are asked to encourage initiatives and processes of inculturation in the lands where they serve as pontifical representatives.”
The very fact that Leo allows Fernandez to remain in charge of the DDF speaks volumes about Leo - Leo and Fernandez embody the Modernist heresy - and are solidifying the errors and demonic inversion of truth warned about by Pope St. Pius X.
Today, Bishop Philippe Christory, 68, of Chartres visited and blessed the pilgrims of the Roman Rite on the road to Chartres, France.
Sur la route de Chartres, les pèlerins ont reçu avec joie la visite et la bénédiction de l’évêque de Chartres, au cœur de cette chrétienté vivante et fidèle à la tradition de l’Église.
Pope Leo XIV is ultimately not against AI but aims to guide it toward the common good, writes Nico Spuntoni on LaNuovaBq.it (May 24). He has seen a preview of the encyclical ‘Magnifica Humanitas’ that will be published tomorrow. Leo XIV writes about a crossroads between self-sufficiency and solidarity. The pious-sounding solution Leo XIV offers to avert dehumanization through AI is "the mystery of the Incarnation". As did Leo XIII facing the social question of the 19th century, Leo XIV believes to offer an answer “to another industrial revolution and the developments in artificial intelligence, which pose new challenges for the defense of human dignity, justice, and work.” Leo XIV talks consistently with the overused word “discernment” to guide the actions in an age of widespread familiarity with artificial intelligence. The encyclical warns of danger of humanity gaining excessive power over itself and against moral irresponsibility resulting from overreliance on artificial intelligence. …Daplü
184 Reasons to Read Leo XIV’s First Encyclical with AI Summarisation: US publisher Ignatius Press is offering Monday's encyclical, 'Magnificent Humanity', for pre-order. At 184 pages long and given the Vatican's usual style of gibberish, the book has almost no chance of actually being read.
Leaving two short video's. One of Megyn Kelly and one of an American reporter with his propaganda in the face of Putin. but Putin as usual will calmly destroy it. "And don't frighten your people with threats that don't exist"! I once told mentioned that Putin is not a scientist nor a Doctor. He has his own job to do. He puts his trust in his people to give him correct information. I also mentioned how he doesn't know everything that people are saying in the Kremlin and so on. He has his own job! Right after I mentioned that I see this interview of Putin with Megyn Kelly. Once again proof falling right in my lap to back up what I just said. Happens almost every time.
